Your journey begins in the scenic village of Hastings, as we paddle upstream along the Hudson River. You'll pass beneath towering cliffs, glide past lush greenery and rocky outcrops, and spot historic sites along the shoreline. This trip offers a rare chance to cross the New York–New Jersey state line by kayak, adding a unique twist to the adventure. At Skunk Hollow, we’ll arrive at Peanut Leap Cascade—a dramatic 50-foot waterfall spilling over volcanic cliffs formed over 200 million years ago. Keep an eye out for wildlife along the way—red-tailed hawks, great blue herons, and if you're lucky, a bald eagle soaring above the trees.
